Riding in Circles
this year i decided to ride in a few more events. i figured i’d have some fun, see some places, meet some folks and publicise my company a bit.
longer rides appeal to me, so i’ve signed myself up for a few races in the bigfoot endurance series, 24 hours in the sage and the vapor trail 125.
i have a few of the bigfoot races under my belt now. i managed about 100 miles at each of the 12 hour events on my single speed. there is always some crazy nut who busts out 125.
mark, amanda and i just got back from the 24 hours in the sage. that was a real hoot. a great group of folks puts the race on. nice and low key. it was my first 24 hour solo attempt. near as i can tell i rode 205 miles. i’m pretty fired up about that. amanda cranked out 135 on her ss vulture. mark rode 7 laps before throwing in the towel. mark is a nut and 95 miles is not his best. some days are good others are bad. he kicks my ass regularly and he’s more then capeable of riding 200+ in a 24 hour.
here is a photo or two of the race and the preceeding days in crusted but, co.
